What is Key Club?

So you're probably wondering what Key Club is, and no, we do not make keys!

Key Club International is an organization that focuses on service to the community and world through action. Wilcox Key Club is one of many schools in Division 12 West, which is included in Region 17. We are also a part of CNH Key Club, which consists of California, Nevada, and Hawaii. Additionally, Key Club is much bigger than a single school or even a single region. Kiwanis, Key Club’s parent organization, also works closely with Key Club in serving the community. 

Our motto is “Caring- Our Way of Life” because we believe that whether we are in school, at home, or out in the community, our actions, words, and entire organization revolves around caring. We aim to contribute to the community through various service events and also build character and leadership skills. 

Participating in Key Club events and activities helps students build leadership skills, and learn to contribute to the community at a young age. Benefits include building leadership, contributing to community, and a chance to win scholarships.

In Key Club, we learn through our volunteering opportunities, as we participate in events around our community and create our own events on the school campus too. By volunteering, you can get volunteer hours that our school requires for high school graduation. Key Club is a great way to get involved and help the community, as consistent small actions can lead to big results.

Our club hosts bondings and some of our events (like FRN where we go to six flags) are a great way to meet new people and make high school memories. Every activity we host is an opportunity to make new friends, as we revolve around teamwork.

We meet twice a month and advertise upcoming volunteering opportunities or division events. In order to join Key Club, you just have to sign up on our Google Sheets!
